With the album Spirit Fields, LEHNBERG takes a big step forward and presents the best and most well-produced album of his career. With a sound reminiscent of Four Tet, Mount Kimbie or Warp records, he uses his sense for epic pop arrangements but in an instrumental experimental electronica world.
The record was made during summer and autumn 2021 with great inspiration from the catchy dance music of the 90s – a lot of focus on rolling 16 parts – this mixed with LEHNBERG’s own trademark and sense of melody etc.
For the past 20 years, David Lehnberg has been the most active and successful artist from Gävle, with numerous awards locally (The Local Heroes award) and releases with bands such as The Deer Tracks, Ariel Kill Him, Leiah and more.
